For the second year running the Premier 1s Bombers have been crowned T20 champions!

A win in Saturday’s game against Dandenong meant the 1s Bomber girls have not lost a T20 game over the past two years, being undefeated in our defence of the title.
 
A quick match review… Mon Sab and Em Mac take the new ball and get us off to a fine start with Moni claiming 2 early wickets and Cass claiming a run out. Dandenong never really got on top of Em’s Bombers with Cass taking a super freaky go-go gadget catch to remove the oppositions highest scorer. All bowlers had tidy figures, Em ending up with 3 wickets and Cass and Flem both bowling exceptionally well to keep the home side to just 68 runs.
 
Requiring 69 for victory, Bones didn’t take long to get into it smashing a few boundaries early to take the pressure off in a well made 21. Lost a few wickets along the way but Pup and Squeaks eventually saw the girls safely over the line in the 15th over, meaning back to back victories were achieved.
 
However while the 1s girls still remain focused on achieving better results in the regular season, momentum and form will be taken out of our successful t20 campaign to hopefully see us playing our best come March this year!
 
Congrats to Em Mac for leading a constantly changing line up through the series of hectic T20 victories and thanks to everyone who doubled up or played up or travelled very far to play for us!
