The Bombers own Tina Macumber was vice captain of Nafanua, the Samoa women’s cricket team, which beat Fiji 4 nil in the recent bi lateral series.
Boasting Losalini Vuetibau, who represented New Zealand in juniors, and South Australian wicketkeeper Alicia Dean, Fiji provided little resistance as Bobby and her Samoan team went through undefeated and are now locked into the East Asia Pacific (EAP) Womens Trophy.
The EAP will take place in Japan in May where Nafanua will take on the host nation and Papua New Guniea. The regional pre-Womens World Cup qualifier will be another taste of international cricket for Bobby and the Samoan team who will surely be looking to rise up the women’s rankings now!
